A homemakers job is invaluable. And let me tell you why, Because God created it.

And whatever God has created for good the enemy likes to get in and discourage us from wanting to do it, and to distract us from the things that are most important

"You need to do more" "You need to be more" Are lies we hear on repeat. Our world is fallen, and it is broken. We don't live in a perfect world. We have an enemy of our soul that wants to get us off track in ANY way possible.

he wants to destroy families, and marriages. And he definitely wants to destroy you, a child of God living out the call He has on you.

But I want to encourage you, if you are a woman and if you are a homemaker you are doing an incredible work! And the reality is some of you may not have a husband who is doing their job. You have been left to pick up their slack, all the while trying to raise kids and earn an income. And I am truly heartbroken and sad for those who are in those situations. Because that is not the way God intended it to be. But this I do know, that God is Sovereign over our mistakes and over those making bad choices that effect the family. He is the God of making the impossible, possible. He is willing and able to give you strength, grace and courage to make it through the day. And I know He will take care of you as you submit yourself to Him, and allow Him to complete that work He started in you.

"being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ" Philippians 1:6 NKJV The best place to start is to spend time with the One who sees it all, and loves you just the same now as the day He did when you were born. If you struggle with reading your Bible or praying, You're not alone. Remember how I said we have an enemy? Well expect the attacks to come on when you choose the good part of spending time with Jesus. And the more you do that, the more you'll learn of Jesus and His heart for you. It won't always be easy, but it will always be worth it. Set a timer for 5 min or less if you don't have that time and just read. You might be surprised to find certain verses sticking out at you, and when they do hold on to them through out the day. Write them down and read them. Say them out loud to your children. Memorize them. Let God's Word fill you. And pray.

Pray for your husband.

Pray for your children. Pray for strength and grace to DO the work God has called you too! It may not be glamorous, but it's worthy. It's a worthy calling to be a mom, to be a wife, to take care of a home. Don't let the world and it's idealogies tell you other wise. Because the world is grasping in the dark for worth and value that can only be found in the light of Jesus. And Jesus has placed upon you, value and worth. And He sees the work you're doing when noone else does. He sees your tear stained clothes, He hears your silent cries of exhaustion He cares about your needs and longings. You're not alone, You are doing a worthy job. A job that God has placed such importance on.

Read proverbs 31 and look into the beauty God has placed on being a woman, a wife and a mom. And don't feel discouraged if you feel like you don't add up to that woman, the point isn't perfection. It's about how beautiful and wonderful the role God has given to us! And that's why it is vital to our lives and homes to hear from God and get His perspective everyday. If God made you a woman, take heart that He has created you for a beautiful and valuable purpose and you are precious in the eyes of our Creator. May you be filled with His grace and love this Thanksgiving and to be reminded you're doing a worthy job
